Rooted Here

Before Whittington Farms became a place we could share with others, it was home. The story begins with John and Elizabeth Whittington and the land they entrusted to the generations that followed. Five generations later, their descendants are still here—caring for the land, honoring what came before, and imagining what it can become.

The Generations

John & Elizabeth Whittington

The founders of the farm, John and Elizabeth, established the roots of Whittington Farms. Their dedication to the land in Dunkirk, Maryland, laid the foundation for a legacy that would span five generations.

The Next Generation

Building on the foundation of their parents, the next generation continued the stewardship of the land. They expanded the farm's operations while maintaining the family's deep connection to the soil and heritage.

The Modern Stewards

Today's stewards are focused on the future of the farm. They are thoughtfully carrying the legacy forward by creating a destination where people can gather, celebrate, and reconnect with the land.

The Great-Grandchildren

The great-grandchildren are the heart of the current chapter. They are the ones who are entrusted with the property, ensuring its preservation while finding meaningful ways to continue serving family and community.

The Next Chapter

As we look toward the future, we are opening the next chapter of the story. We invite friends, neighbors, and community to gather here, celebrate here, and create memories of their own.
